Hike Easy West Side then Rugged East Side Bear Creek Trail **Members Only**

**Registration Opens Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 8AM MT**
Let’s hike the easy West side of Bear Creek Trail up to the falls and then switch to the rugged East side Bear Creek Trail. This is a challenging 6 mile 1,450 vertical hike that starts in the town of Telluride. We will meander up the easy West side of Break Creek up to the falls. After we see the falls, we head back a short way to the big rock and have a snack before we cross the stream (your feet may get wet). We land on a single track dirt trail that will rise in elevation and take us through dense forest with large boulders. We may have to crawl under a fallen tree and take large steps up or down at times as well. It’s a beautiful, rugged hike which is not busy. Well behaved dogs are welcome (bring a leash). Bring water for you and your pup, a raincoat, snacks, hiking shoes, poles (east trail is rugged) and sunscreen. Wear pants – the rose bushes can be unkind. Total Hiking Time will be around 5 hours. No Event Fee.
We will notify all Registrants of any changes / cancellations due to weather or construction.
