**UPDATED ROUTE** Let’s hike the beautiful meandering Meridian Trail through Telluride’s Ski Resort.  Let’s hike the beautiful meandering Meridian Trail through Telluride’s Ski Resort.  This is a long moderate 8.5 mile 1,370 vertical hike that starts at Mountain Village market.  We will take the gondola up to San Sophia station and hike south to the new Wapiti trail that connects into the Merdian Trail.  From there we hook into Prospect Loop Trail - see a beautiful overlook and connect into Prospect Trail that around the Bald Mounta will lead us through the closed Bike Park and back to San Sophia station.  We will get sweeping views of all of the mountains around us.  Pure beauty.  We will stop for lunch during the hike.  Well behaved dogs are welcome (bring a leash).  Bring water for you and your pup, a raincoat, lunch, hiking shoes, poles and sunscreen. Total Hiking Time will be around 6-7 hours.
