Lizard Head Mushroom Hike **Members Only**

**Registration Opens Friday July 10, 2026 at 8AM MT**
Bring snacks and join us for an off-trail mushroom seeking adventure up in Lizard Head near the Groundhog and Cross Mountain trails. We will be focused mainly on King Boletes (porcinis) and Chanterelles, but we do find other mushrooms. NO Dogs (they get bored and like to walk on the mushrooms). Bring a mushroom knife (can get on Amazon) and a bag or bags for your mushrooms. Paper is recommended as mushrooms get mushy in plastic. Also bring water, a raincoat, snacks, hiking shoes, poles and sunscreen. This is a relatively easy hike through the woods after a bit of a climb up from the parking lot. We will probably hike 5-6 miles with less than 1000 ft elevation gain. Total Hiking Time (adventuring time) will be around 5 hours. No Event Fee.
We will notify all Registrants of any changes / cancellations due to weather or construction.
