Swamp Canyon Hike in Ophir **Members Only**

**Registration Opens Friday, July 24, 2026 at 8AM MT**
Back by popular demand, this is a 6 mile roundtrip hike with 1600ft of elevation. You meander through the trees on a mining road and then cut off to a hiking trail to an open view of swamp canyon. At the end we will cross a scree field on a trail to a beautiful grassy “bench” to have a picnic lunch. You will be looking back at the iron-stained mountains of Ophir. Well behaved dogs are welcome (bring a leash). Bring water for you and your pup, a raincoat, lunch, hiking shoes, poles and sunscreen. Total Hiking Time will be around 5 hours. No Event Fee.
Registrants will be notified of any changes due to weather or construction.
