Join us for a round trip snowshoe hike in Ophir. We will have a local tour guide speak to us about the history of Ophir along the way, possibly going by the old jail where the drunks were locked up in the early 1900’s and the site of the Ophir hotel that was destroyed in an avalanche. The trek will be easy and with a gradual incline (still a good workout) and last approximately 75 minutes. We will head back to the member’s house for warm Taco soup and hot cider. Duration of event is 3 hours. You’ll need to wear snow shoes, dress in layers, warm hat, sunglasses, gloves, and water. Dogs are welcome. A warm garage and dog treats for our canine friends will be provided while we enjoy lunch. If event is full, please contact Janet for waitlist. janetjacobs3@me.com
